SAND & SKY | AUSTRALIAN PINK CLAY

Flash Perfection Exfoliator helps to mattify, clear congestion, and resurface the skin. Provides gentle physical & chemical exfoliation for maximum results.

  • Bamboo & Macadamia for gentle physical exfoliation
  • Finger Lime extract gently sloughs of dead skin cells
  • Absorb oil and refine those pores*
  • Resurface + mattify your skin*
  • Cruelty-free and ZERO nasties

Oily/Combination skin: Manual exfoliation helps to clear the dry, dead skin cells that can lead to congestion and breakouts. Australian Pink Clay draws out impurities and leaves pores appearing tighter. Expect an improvement in oil control and excess shine, and softer, more even skin.

Dry/Normal skin: The one-two punch of chemical and physical exfoliation clears dry, dead skin cells that contribute to dullness and dryness. AHAs in Finger Lime Extract help your skin to attract and retain hydration for longer, while botanical oils nourish and soften. Expect softer, more hydrated skin.

Sensitive skin: Skip the massage, and leave it on as a mini 5 minute mask before rinsing to let the AHAs do the heavy lifting.

Quick, Easy & Creamy White Chicken Chili

There are many different variations around the web you will stumble across. Some will use sour cream in place of cream cheese while others will omit the use of any creamy product altogether.

I personally think it’s a game changer as it thickens up the soup quite a bit and makes it so much heartier and comforting! 😉

This was my first time cooking with white beans, and I fell in love with them. They seem to be a bit nuttier and more earthy than other beans I’ve used in chili recipes like kidney beans.

Sophie absolutely demolished a bowl while barely allowing herself to breathe in between spoonfuls. The same can be said about Tim actually.

I always get annoyed with him because he pretty much adds hot sauce to every single dish I make, but I noticed he ate this without any accompaniments, and that made me very happy.null

It’s incredibly flavorful, and I give homage to the blend of spices, green chiles, and delicious broth for doing the trick.

I have provided instructions for you to either:

  • Use pre-shredded / Rotisserie chicken
  • Make Instant Pot shredded chicken thighs (my own recipe!)

How Do You Thicken Up White Chicken Chili?

The secret (not so secret) ingredient to thickening up most white chicken chilis is cream cheese!

What’s pretty incredible is that I found success in using a dairy free cream cheese.

I used Kite Hill dairy free cream cheese, but feel free to use regular cream cheese if you are able to consume dairy.null

A few other recipes from around the web for dairy free white chicken chili that omit cream cheese altogether include:

What Do You Mix With White Chicken Chili?

This particular chili recipe is mixed with: white beans, green chiles, shredded chicken, broth, lime, various spices, corn, onions, and dairy free cream cheese.null

Calories Count

Trying to lose weight?  Remember, calories count!

How can you lose weight and keep it off for better health?  Think about your calories!

What is a calorie?

  • A calorie is a measure of energy.
  • A calorie is defined as the amount of energy it takes to raise the temperature of one gram of water (about a thimble full) by one degree Celsius.

So what does this mean for nutrition?  Food contains calories, and the calories provide energy to the body.  The problem comes when there is an imbalance of energy—too much energy in and not enough energy out.

Calories Count!

  • To lose weight, you have to create an energy deficit in your body.

To create a calorie deficit, you can either:

  • Decrease your calorie intake, OR
  • Increase your calorie (energy) output through exercise.

Not all calories are the same!

  • A gram of carbohydrates has 4 calories
  • A gram of protein has 4 calories
  • A gram of fat has 9 calories
  • In a healthy diet, carbohydrates should be 45-65% of your calorie intake, protein should be 10-35% of your calorie intake, and fat should be 20-35% of your calorie intake.

Exercise Helps Burn Calories

  • Physical activity is very important to maintaining good health, and it helps to burn calories.
  • Many people don’t realize how easy it is to burn calories and create an energy deficit by adding physical activity to their daily routine.

The total number of calories you burn depends on your weight, the activity you choose and the intensity level of your activity.  If you exercise at a higher intensity level, you will burn more calories.

Consider the following averages for a person weighing 175 pounds: 30 minutes Activity Burns this many calories. (See Below)
